Manly Dam (above) is one of my favourite places in the world and it’s just down the road. It’s where I often go running. Sometimes I meditate by the water. There’s something very calming about this place – maybe it’s because most people opt for the beach instead! I love sketching at the beaches as well as you can see from the images below.
Shelly Beach: This is perhaps the prettiest beach in Northern Beaches. I can’t think of anything more relaxing than spending the afternoon painting here!
St George’s Head, Mosman: This was taken a few years ago, when my husband and I were new to Sydney. Unemployed with no friends yet, there was plenty of time for sketching!
