If you’ve stumbled upon my website you might wonder why I’ve chosen to combine my more philosophical interests with my artistic ventures. Well, that’s me, that’s who I am. I am an artist who cares deeply about life, and I want to help people. That’s my authentic reality.
I tried to fit myself into the world’s way of doing things and it made me unhappy. I studied hard to get my degree in architecture, constantly pushing myself to graduate with top grades. I was a nervous wreck but I thought this would get better once I had a job in my field. It didn’t get better, it got worse.
The corporate environment didn’t suit me. The type of work I was doing was not what I envisioned when I went into the field. My anxiety levels were skyrocketing so I started searching for solutions. At some point we all have to ask ourselves this question, “What do I really want in life?”
After some soul searching, volunteering and broadening my perspective, I realized that I had a choice to make. I could continue a path that “looked promising” but wasn’t fulfilling, or I could risk making a change. I took baby steps, tried out some ideasn and started on a new path. (to be continued)
